Mount Rinjani is a non-technical mountain, but it does require a reasonable base-level of fitness, along with some grit and determination! The 2 day / 1 night package is ideal for those looking to conquer Mt. Rinjani’s summit in the shortest possible time. If you’d like to explore the lake and thermal springs, our 3 and 4 day packages are better suited.
2 Days / 1 Night
Begin your adventure with a scenic journey to **Sembalun Village** in East Lombok, where your trek to Mount Rinjani’s summit begins. Starting at an elevation of **1,060m above sea level**, you’ll cover a distance of **9.6km** with an elevation gain of **1,560m**. The day takes you through picturesque savannahs and open landscapes before a challenging ascent to the **Sembalun Crater Rim campsite** at **2,620m elevation**. Prepare for breathtaking views, a hearty dinner under the stars, and the excitement of reaching the summit the following day.

The second day begins early with a challenging ascent to the **summit of Mount Rinjani**, standing at **3,726m above sea level**, where you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise and panoramic views of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa. After descending back to the **Sembalun Crater Rim campsite** for breakfast, you’ll continue your journey down the mountain to **Sembalun Village**. Covering a total distance of **13.5km**, this day involves an elevation gain of **1,106m** to the summit, followed by a descent of **2,660m** back to the finish line.

A quick dry synthetic material shirt (can be either short or long sleeve) as the base layer, a good quality fleece jacket/woollen pull-over as the middle later and a thick wind proof jacket as the outer layer. A waterproof and windproof trekking pants is desirable and a pair of woollen gloves, beanie and scarf for additional cold protection.
